Height
As a starting point, hang artwork so its centre sits at roughly 145–150 cm from the floor (average eye level). Above a sofa or console, leave about 15–20 cm between the furniture and the bottom of the frame.
Building a wall of frames
- Keep spacing between frames even — 5–8 cm works well for most groupings.
- Lay the arrangement out on the floor first, or cut paper templates and tape them to the wall, before drilling.
- Mix sizes but keep a consistent frame colour or material for a calmer result, or vice versa for more contrast.
Weight and fixings
Our frames and hanging kits include fixings rated for the sizes we sell. For heavier framed pieces on plasterboard, use an appropriate wall anchor rather than a single pin.
